My Ties Giveaway! (Ended)

Ties: My Ties

Hair ties, head bands, and bracelets- triple the duty! These adorable bands have been seen on all celebrities and now they're trending everywhere! They're stylish and cute, but the secret is... they're actually better for your hair than a regular hair band. Why? Well the elastic is not made out of rubber like the regular hair bands, so there's no tug or tangling for your hair- which means no breakage (yay!).

The Sorority Secrets have partnered up with the Lindsay Cortez, a Chi Omega alumni from Washington State and the owner of My Ties, to give our readers a chance to win a pack of customized bands!  Customize them for your charity, company, school, sorority, or for a special event.  My Ties have every type of patterns and bands you can think of (even sparkled and jeweled bands)!

Here's how to win your very own pack of customized My Ties bands:
Step 1: "Like" The Sorority Secrets on Facebook. (Click here to "Like")
Step 2: "Like" My Ties on Facebook. (Click here to "Like")
Step 3: Tell us how you would personalize your My Ties band if you won the giveaway and LEAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS below!

*Contest ends February 28th, 2013.  Winner will be notified via email address given below*

  1. I would personalize my My Ties in Chi Omega colors and would put Chi Omega on them as well as Alumna on some so that everyone would know that I am a Chi Omega alum. I would actually like at some point to customize a bunch for my alumnae group as I am currently serving as President and think that these would be a great way to show our alumnae sorority pride!

  3. I would personalize My Ties in Blue for Kappa Kappa Gamma's colors. I would love to personalize them with KKG Seniors since our senior class is the last founding class of our chapter graduating in June! I also believe that if girls in my chapter saw the seniors wearing them they would definitely want to buy a very large chapter order because I know girls who would buy multiples!!

  4. I am a WSU-AGD alum and have been getting together with my sorority sisters annually on a trip. This year will be our 20th reunion and I'd like to make it extra special by having customized My Ties for the trip. We are a tight group and have helped eachother through many joys and pains since we were college students, marriages, births, divorces, children heading off to college, deaths, etc. Couldn't have done it all without their support!

  6. "RELAY FOR LIFE" My Ties would represent all of our friends, family and loved ones who fought the good fight and won, lost, and are in some way affected by cancer.

In purple (the signature Relay color), "CELEBRATE" our survivors.
In blue, "REMEMBER" those who lost their battle and those fighting for their lives today.
In red, "FIGHT BACK!" against the terrible disease that's taken too much.

My Ties will be worn to remind us how we want to celebrate more birthdays! So powerful.

Thank you TSS for what you do!

  8. I would personalize them for Alpha Phi for our Red Dress Gala supporting Women's Heart Health. They would be red and say "Alpha Phi" with a Heart next to it. It is perfect for February seeing as it is heart health month, and also corresponds with our philanthropy, the Alpha Phi Foundation to support women's heart health. They would be a perfect accent to our red hair bows for heart health month.

  9. I would get my My Ties printed with 'Tau Beta Sigma' in fun neons and zebra print, for my sorority! We are a honorary/service sorority that promotes women in music, and we give over 90% of the money we raise to support collegiate bands and keep music in schools, and because of this we can't afford to get custom items made--winning would honestly mean everything to us! It would be amazing to be able to proudly wear TBS My Ties after all we have done for our music programs! :)

  10. I would personalize my ties with motivational words like strength, power, faith, hope, and love to inspire me to keep working hard both in my personal fitness goals as well as in med school and my future career so I can help people live and be healthy :]

    Theta love!

  11. I would personalize the my ties for my Gamma Phi Beta sorority sister we lost during the Tuscaloosa tornado 4.27.11 Nicole, Everyone who knew her in our house loved her and misses her dearly and for the seniors who are about to depart this would be an everlasting memory of how much we have stuck together through this tragedy. They could be crimson, or houndstooth and say Nicole 4.27.2011 to remind the girls every day when they put them on that life is short but sisterhood is forever, T-Town Never Down!

  13. I would personalize the My Ties for the Cheerleading Team I am a part of at my University. It's our first time attending the Nationals Competition in Daytona Beach and we are still hitting a few bumps in the road. I would personalize them with "TCOEO" because that has been our motto getting us through the season thus far. I would have them a neon color because I would want them to stand out just like the team has been doing all year long.

  15. I am an active Chi Omega so I would want mine to be red and yellow sparkles. I would want Chi Omega on one side and the words "What more could you wish for" on the other side. My chapter just granted a child's wish through the Make-A-Wish foundation and this would be a great way to celebrate!

  16. I would personalize mine for Alpha Chi Omega! One green with our letters in red, one purple (to symbolize Domestic Violence Awareness), and one red with green writing saying "lyres and pearls make Alpha Chi girls!" These would be great gifts for anyone in any Alpha Chi Omega chapter and especially great for new members!

  17. I would customize blue/gray ties with blue/gray writing for diabetes awareness with the ribbon icon. I would also add AΓΔ hearts JDRF on the side with a heart icon. Alpha Gamma Delta is the newest sorority to the University of South Carolina, and we are looking for great ways to promote our philanthropy. We think this is the perfect promo item to hand out around campus and give to the rest of our Greek organizations!

    3. Caitlin,

You hold these guidelines so true yet you mention our biggest SECRET on the internet. You have disgraced your chapter, and Alpha Xi Delta as a whole.

      Sincerly,

      Frustrated Sister

    4. Caitlin,
The fact that you posted this on a public website is extremely distasteful and disrespectful for not only you but all of your Syracuse University sisters. That isn't something to be posting on a public form and should be deleted.

    5. Caitlin,

This isnt something that should be posted on the internet and would be greatly appreciated if it was taken down on behalf of all Alpha Xi Deltas.

  21. I would customize MyTies for my sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon, just in time for Greek Week! Nothing says Greek pride like cute sorority apparel and I think MyTies are the perfect addition to our outfits! I would also love to have some Panhel-friendly MyTies for formal recruitment in the fall, in assorted colors. Ain't no life like the Greek life ;)
