Fall 2015 Fashion Trends

Since we live in both Arizona and Washington, it is always fun for us to attend fun Fashion Week events to see what the fashion trends are. From high end to low end, we always like to showcase what is being worn on the catwalk and how you can mirror those trends on campus, work, or around town. Co Founder, Karen, had a blast attending Bellevue Fashion Week last month {she met Rachel Zoe!!} and she reported back everything you should know about what's in for fall this season with the help of Vogue Magazine Director of Special Events, Cara Crowley. Below are some of the trends that you can rock to stay trendy. Shop these looks by clicking the links below each picture! Boots With the {Faux} Fur

[1][2][3][4][5]

Too soon to talk about boots? Nahhhh! Of course, we started shopping around to all of the high end and low end faux fur boots and lucky for you, we compiled our favorites above! We are absolutely in love with faux fur boots with a nice heel like these cute ones from Ann Creek Ltd. Whenever we would walk around campus in the fall and winter, we were suckers for UGGS and these Lamo boots are a striking resemblance at a more affordable cost.

Game Day Glam

Yay for football season! Gah, we missed those days of dressing up in our maroon and gold (GO SUNDEVILS!) to show off our school spirit. There are so many cute and fun ways to be game day glam so you can stand out from all of the other fans. First, head to Michael's Craftstore and snag some rhinestones. Deck your game day shirt with rhinestone bling and you will definitely catch people's attention. Buy fabric in your school's colors and cut them into strips. Tie each strip to a simple head tie and eventually it will be a cute ring of fabric on the head tie that you can tie onto your hair or even use as a fun form of a bracelet. You just can't go wrong buying eyeshadow and lip stick in your school colors. Colourpop is the absolute best site to snag the lipstick as their lip products are $5 {talk about a secret steal!}. Buy some fun accessories to throw around your neck like beads and pom poms to wave that you can get at Party City, Oriental Trading Company, or Stumps.

Whatever you do, get all decked out and rep your team to the fullest!

Plaid Attack

Whenever the holidays approach do you ever notice an increase in plaid sightings?! Well, we don't mind it because we are obsessed with all things plaid this season. There is something about plaid that is just so laid back and comfortable. Pair some boyfriend jeans with a plaid top and some converse or TOMS and you're ready for a casual day out. Our latest obsession are the plaid hair accessories! All the plaid hair accessories from France Luxe are just the cutest. Plaid is feminine yet says "I can hang with the boys". It's cute, flirty, and unassuming; the perfect addition to our Fall/Winter wardrobe collection. Check out some of our favorite plaid fashion pieces above. Which plaid pieces are you currently loving? 5 Must-Have Fall Boots

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5
Even though it's super hot in Arizona right now, it doesn't stop us from dusting off our favorite Fall boots we've tucked away in our closets. Lucky for Co-Founder, Karen, she's had the chance to rock her boots in Seattle, Washington (jealous).  In Arizona back when we were in college, you knew it was Fall when all the sorority girls on campus had on UGGS (in 90 degree weather of course...haha). If you want to jump on the boots train then check out our favorite pairs above. Every girl should have a classic black boot in their Fall wardrobe so that's why we love this 'Andora' Over-the-Knee Boot from Nordstrom. Brown boots are no different! There are so many shades to choose from with brown boots, but our favorite color is a more tannish tone like this 'Pondrosa' Suede Boot from Nordstrom. Pair your boots with stylish jeans or a cute dress with tights. However you choose to wear your boots, rock them with confidence!

Style tip: When you buy your boots, be sure to get socks that are easy to wear with boots. It will make a world of a difference down there!

5 Over-sized Topshop Sweaters To Add To Your Closet

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

As the weather gets cooler and cooler (seems like forever in Arizona, but Seattle is already feeling it!) it's time to clean out our closets of all of our short shorts and tanks and whip out those cute, over-sized sweaters we've been looking forward to bringing out again for this cool season. An over-sized sweater with some hot leggings or trendy jeans can make for the cutest fall/winter outfit. Pair it with some pointed heels or converse, UGGS, and/or Tims and you're ready to take on the world with your Fall fashion. As we were on the hunt for oversized sweaters, we found that Topshop has tons of cute sweaters!  Here's our top 5 favorites from Topshop! Check them out above!

Styled From Summer to Fall

With the fall season right around the corner, we're getting super excited for a few of our favorite things... leggings, chunky knit sweaters, and pumpkin spice lattes.  But before we get ahead of ourselves, we're still enjoying the last few moments of summer!  That being said, now is a great time to start shopping for pieces that will carry you into fall.  Um, hello Nordstrom Anniversary Sale & end of season summer sales!  Here are a few key pieces that make an easy transition from now through October.

Jewel Tone Denim
We're loving these J. Brand jeans (on sale at Nordstrom until August 3rd!) in the pretty deep plum hue.  Wear them now with open toe shoes & your favorite tee or tank.  Wear them later with boots and a sweater or cardigan.  Deep colors are surprisingly versatile... try them out with floral print tops or chambray button downs too!

Short Floral Dress
A floral print mini dress in fall-friendly colors (this one also from Nordstrom is perfect, and 50% off) can shift from season to season.  Wear it now with flat sandals, add a denim vest if you want to mix it up.  Wear it come September with ankle booties, tights, and your favorite leather bomber jacket!

Striped Maxi Dress
Stripes are one of our favorite prints... they're in style year-round!  We like to give stripes a nautical feel in the summer months, and an edgier feel come cooler months.  This Vince maxi dress (on sale for 60% off) is a summer staple.  Once fall approaches, maxi dresses can still make a statement!  Think in layers, and your maxi dress transforms into a fabulous long skirt.  Add a long sleeve shirt (sweatshirt or sweater) on top of the dress.  An off shoulder shirt would be especially cute over the Vince dress, revealing the striped straps beneath!  Or, add a button down shirt (worn loose or tied at the waist-- in plaid if you feel daring).  Pair it with booties and a felt hat for an added touch!

Felt Floppy Hat
Speaking of felt hats, a floppy felt hat is a great accessory in both summer & in fall.  We love a simple felt hat (like this one by David & Young) to compliment any outfit.  Wear it now with flowy bohemian tops, and wear it later with just about anything!

Plaid Shirt
Tartan plaids are back for fall, in a big way.  Think classic & sophisticated when styling this year's plaid trend, instead of punk rock.  We love this slightly sheer chiffon plaid blouse from Forever 21.  Pair it with denim shorts or tucked in to a skater skirt for now, and wear it with jeans come fall.  You can even dress it up to turn it into business attire!

Puffer Vests for Days!

J.Crew | Gap | Madewell | Banana Republic | Lilly Pulitzer | Anthropologie

We are now fully in Fall season and we're loving every minute of it- leaves are falling, the weather is cooler, Sunday night footballs, and Fall fashion are some of our favorite things about Fall!

Fall fashion is by far our favorite season to dress for... oversized sweaters, boots, and hats are some of our favorite Fall pieces.  To add to our Fall fashion closet, we're currently obsessed with puffer vests!  The one thing we love about puffer vests is that you can still see your adorable ensemble underneath your vest and you can basically match a puffer vest with anything underneath, even if it's a jean jacket like you see in the picture above!

We picked out some of our current favorite puffer vest from our favorite stores!  Which ones are your favorite?

Happy Friday, everyone!

Bright PINK Power Hour Highlights

Last week, Co-Founder Karen and TSS It Girl/ Zeta Tau Alpha, Victoria, had the pleasure of attending Westfield Southcenter Mall's Bright Pink Power Hour Fashion Show in Seattle.
